Sum of the exterior angles of a polygon = 360° 

Sum of all the angles marked 'x' = 

2 × Sum of ext. ∠s of the polygon 

= 2 × 360° = 720° 

∴ ∠A + ∠B + ∠C + ∠D + ∠E + ∠F + ∠G 

= Sum of angles of the 7 triangles – 720° 

= 180° × 7 – 720° = 540°.
