Let the co-ordinates of the point of internal division A be (x, y). Then,
\(x\) = \(\frac{2\times(-7)+3\times8}{2+3}\) = \(\frac{-14+24}{5}\) = \(\frac{10}{5}\) = 2
y = \(\frac{2\times4+3\times9}{2+3}\) = \(\frac{8+27}{5}\) = \(\frac{35}{5}\) = 7
∴ Co-ordinates of the point for internal division are (2, 7).
