The effect of temperature on rate of reaction is given by Arrhenius equation.

i) Write Arrtenius equation.

ii) Define activation energy (Ea).

iii) Rate constant K2 of a reaction at 310 K is two times of its rate constant K., at 300 K.

log K = Log A\(\frac{-Ea}{2.303RT}\)

ii) Activation energy is the energy required to form an activated complex or It is the energy difference between the activated complex and the reactant molecules.
