Length of the staircase = 5 1/2 m

Distance between each step = 1/4 m

∴ Number of steps in the staircase

= 5 1/2 ÷ 1/4 = 11/2 ÷ 1/4 = 11/2 × 4/1 = 22

There will be 22 steps in the staircase
