If both the speed of a body and radius of its circular path are doubled, what will happen to the centripetal acceleration?

Centripetal acceleration

\(a=\frac{v^2}{r}\)

when v' = 2v

and r' = 2r,

then a' = \(\frac{v'^2}{r'}\)

\(\frac{{(2v)}^2}{(2r)}=2a\)
