LH acts at the Leydig cells and stimulates synthesis and secretion of androgens. Androgens stimulate the process of spermato-genesis.

FSH acts on the Sertoli cells and stimulates secretion of some factors which help in the process of spermiogenesis.

Female Rapid secretion of LH leading to rupture of Graafian follicle and release ovum (ovulation). FSH helps in the growth and development of ovarian follicle.
