Cantilever is a horizontal beam fixed at one end only and load at the other end as shown in the figure below,
The load on the beam tends to displace it, say through a distance y. Restoring force will bring the beam to mean position and the beam starts vibrating.
Time period of vibration is given by,
\(T=2\pi\sqrt{\frac{Inertia \,factor}{Spring \,factor}}\)
\(=2\pi\sqrt{\frac{m}{k}}\)
