Best answer

Let P(x , y, z) be the required point which is 5/ 6 of AB.i,e

AP = \(\frac{5}{6}AB\)

\(\frac{AP}{AB}= \frac{5}{6}\\=\frac{AP}{AP+PB}=\frac{5}{6}\\=6AP=5AP+5PB\\=\frac{AP}{PB}=\frac{5}{1}\\=AP:PB=5:1\)

∴ Co-ordinates of points P are

= (8, −5, −9)
