The basis of Buddhism is Four Arya (Noble) Truths with Ashtangamarga.
The 4 Noble Truths Buddha taught are:
1. The world is a sorrowful place.
2. Desires are the cause of sorrow.
3. If we deny our desires, we can avoid sorrow.
4. By following the Ashtanga Marga, you can overcome sorrow.
The ashtanga margas are: right word, right deed, right life, right efforts, right memory, right view, right decision and right meditation.
