A radiowave is beamed at point A on one side of the sheet. This beam is reflected back from the other side of the sheet. The duration (t) between the transmission and reception of the beam is recorded with a very sensitive time recorder, then \(d=\frac{c\times t}{2}\) where, c is the velocity of the radiowave, and d is the thickness of sheet or a plate.
