A vessel is filled with a mixture of two different gases. State with reason :

(i) Will the mean K.E. per molecule of both the gases be equal? 

(ii) Will the root mean square velocities of the molecules be equal?

(iii) Will the pressure be equal?

(i) Yes, because the mean K.E. per molecule depends only upon the temperature.

(ii) No, because for different gases r.m.s. velocity depends upon the mass of the gas molecules.

(iii) No definite idea about pressure because masses of the gases are not given.
