Best answer

When the elevator is going upwards with acceleration a then net acceleration = (g + a).

Therefore pressure = hρ(g + a) dyne/cm2.

= \(\frac{76×13.6×(g+a)}{13.6×g}\)cm of Hg column,

Here, (g + a) > g, so the pressure will be greater than 76 cm.
