If two angle are complementary, the sum of their measure is 90 degrees.

let one angle = x
its complement = (90° - x)
According to question
x - (90° - x) = 12°
x - 90° + x = 12°
2x = 12° + 90° = 102
x = \(\frac{102}{2}\) = 51°
therefore its complement = (90° - x) = 90° - 51° = 39°

the difference in the two angles is 51° - 39° = 12 degrees

So, that the measures of the two complementary angles are 51 degrees and 39 degrees.
