Given

R1 = 1Ω, R2 = 2Ω , R3= 3Ω

1. Total resistance of series combination

R = R1 + R2 + R3

or R – 1 + 2 + 3 = 6Ω.

2. Since V = IR

I = \(\frac{V}{R}\) = \(\frac{12}{6}\)

∴ V1 = IR1 = 2 × 1 = 2V

V2 = IR2 = 2 × 2 = 4V

V3 = IR3 = 2 × 3 = 6V.
