The variation of resistivity (ρ) with temperature (T) of a conductor, semiconductor and super conductor are given in the figure.

1. Identify them from the graph.

2. Identify the figure in which the temperature coefficient of resistance of the material is positive.

3. Write the equation connecting resistivity of the material with relaxation time.

3. We have resistivity (ρ) from equation. ρ = \(\frac{m}{ne^2\tau}\), where t is the relaxation time, m mass of electron, n number density of electron and e charge of electron.
