Find the volume of H2O that should be added to 300 mL of 0.5 M NaOH so as to prepare a solution of 0.2 M.

M1V=  M2V2

300 × 0.5 =  V2 × 0.2

V2\(\frac{300\times 5}{2}\)

= 750 mL

H2O to be added = 750 mL – 300 mL = 450mL
