1. Time in which the concentration of the reactant is reduced to one half of its initial concentration.

2. \(t_{1/2}=\frac{0.693}{k}=\frac{0.693}{5.5\times 10^{-14}s^{-1}}\)\(=\frac{0.693}{5.5}\times10^{14}s\)
