I do not think his approach is justified. The hailstorm destroyed his crops which placed him and his family in a tight spot with little hope. However, Lencho could have tried his best to look for other means to support his family. Instead, his blind faith in God made him write a letter to God itself. There was also a high possibility of the letter being returned with no response if not found by the postmaster. One shouldn't solely depend on God. He should trust people more and always explore other means to resolve the situation before losing all hope.
