• Difference in skill and productivity 
• People are not the same in matter of tastes, talents and efficiency.
• Occupational and geographical mobility.
• Some professions require high cost and long period of training. 
• Difference in risks involved in certain jobs. 
• Due to these reasons, some are paid more and others are paid less.
