A car travels 1 km distance in which each wheel makes 450 complete revolutions. Find the radius of wheel.

Let radius of wheel = ‘r’ m

Circumference of wheel = (2πr)m.

No. of revolutions = 450

Distance for 450 revolutions = 450 x 2πr=900πr m

But distance travelled = 1000 m.

900πr = 1000

r = 1000/900π 

=10/9π m

=1000/9π cms

radius (r)=1000/9π cms
