Degree is the highest power of the variable of a polynomial. In the given polynomial highest power is 3.

Therefore degree of the polynomial is 3.

(ii) 5x2 - 3x + 2

Degree is the highest power of the variable of a polynomial. In the given polynomial highest power is 2.

Therefore degree of the polynomial is 2.

(iii) 2x - x2 - 8
