Best answer

Area of the plot = area of the rectangle + area of semi-circle

Radius of semi-circle = \(\frac{BC}{2}\) = \(\frac{28}{2}\) = 14 m

Area of the rectangular plot = length × breadth = 60 × 28 = 1680 m2

Area of the semi-circular portion = \(\frac{πr^2}{2}\)

\(\frac{1}{2}\) x \(\frac{22}{7}\) x 14 x 14 = 308 m2

Therefore, the total area of the plot = 1680 + 308 = 1988 m2
