Additive inverse of a number \(\frac{a}{b}\) is the number \(-\frac{a}{b}\) such that, \(\frac{a}{b}+(\frac{-a}{b})=0\)

Therefore,

C.) 5/9

As the sum of additive inverse is always zero. Let the add. inv. be x. Then,

 -5/9 + x=0

x=5/9

Hope it helps.
