Then,

\(-12\times\text{x}=-8\)

\(\Rightarrow\) \(\text{x}=-8\div-12\) 

\(\Rightarrow\) \(\text{x}=\frac{-8}{-12}=\frac{-8\times-1}{-12\times-1}=\frac{8}{12}\)

\(\Rightarrow\) \(\text{x}=\frac{8}{12}=\frac{8\div4}{12\div4}=\frac{2}{3}\)
