Total numbers of red balls = 3 

Number of black balls = 5 

Total number of balls = 3 + 5 = 8

Probability of getting a red ball is = \(\frac{Total\,number\,of\,red\,balls}{Total\,number\,of\,balls}\) = \(\frac{3}{8}\)

(ii) black 

Total numbers of red balls = 3 

Number of black balls = 5 

Total number of balls = 3 + 5 = 8 

Probability of getting a black ball is = \(\frac{Total\,number\,of\,black\,balls}{Total\,number\,of\,balls}\) = \(\frac{5}{8}\)
