Given that,

l ‖ m and n cuts them

Let,

∠1 = 65°

∠2 = x

∠3 = 40°

∠1 = ∠4 = 65°(Alternate angle) (i)

∠3 + ∠4 + ∠5 = 180°(Angle sum property)

40° + 65° + ∠5 = 180°

∠5 = 75°

Now,

∠2 + ∠5 = 180°(Linear pair)

x + 75° = 180°

x = 105°
