Let the father’s age be ‘a’ and son’s age be ‘b’
Given,
Present age of a father is three years more than three times the age of the son.
⇒ a = 3b + 3 ---------- (1)
Also,
Three years hence father’s age will be 10 years more than twice the age of the son.
⇒ a + 3 = 2(b + 3) + 10
⇒ a = 2b + 13 --------- (2)
Equating (1) and (2), we get
3b + 3 = 2b + 13
⇒ b = 10 years
Father’s age (a) = 3 × 10 + 3 = 33
