Best answer

Since x = \(\frac{-1}{2},\) is the solution of the equation it should satisfy the equation

Putting value of x in the given equation

\(3(-\frac{1}{2})^2+2\,k(-\frac{1}{2})-3=0\)

\(\frac{3}{40}-k-3=0\)

\(\frac{9}{4}=k\)

\(\frac{9}{4}\)
