Best answer

If y = 1 is root of both the equation it will staify both the equations

Putting y = 1 in first equation

ay 2 + ay + 3 = 0

2a + 3 = 0

\(a=-3/2\)

Putting value of y in second equation

2 + b = 0

B = – 2

Now ab \(=-\frac{3}{2}\) x – 2

ab = 3
