If the seventh term of an A.P. is 1/9 and its ninth term is 1/7, find its (63)rd term.

We know, nth term of an AP is an = a + (n – 1)d where ‘a’ and ‘d’ are first term and common difference of AP respectively

Given,

Subtracting equation [1] from [2], we get

Putting this value of d in equation [1], we get

Now, 63rd term = a + 62d

Hence Proved!
