If \(\frac{4}{5}\),a, 2 are three terms in an A.P. so there common difference will be same 

a - 4/5 = 2 - a

2a = \(\frac{14}{5}\)

a = \(\frac{7}{5}\)

If a,b,c are three consecutive terms of an AP

Then,

 \(b = {c + a \over 2}\)

Thus  \(a= {4/5 +2 \over 2}\)

Ans: a=1.4 or 7/5
