The largest cone is curved out from one face of solid cube of side 21 cm. Find the volume of the remaining solid.

Largest cone is the right circular cone with base diameter and height = edge of the cube 

∴ radius of the cone = (\(\frac{21}2\)) cm 

and height of the cone = 21 cmwe know, volume of cube is (side)

and volume of cone = \(\frac{1}3πr^2h\)

where 'r' is radius and 'h' is height of the cone.Volume of the remaining cube = volume of the cube – volume of cone cone)
