4 ampere

Can you confirm if the question is correct? Because there seems to be a problem here. Especially in the Ammeter part. Is the ammeter ideal? Is it just telling the current in the 12 ohm resistor wire or is it a part of the circuit? If its a part, then do we have to consider short circuit of 12 ohm resistor?

I’m asking so because considering the general trends i.e. considering ammeter ideal and a part of the circuit and therefore, the short circuit of 12 ohm resistor, the ans comes out to be 28.57 which isn’t correct.

I think that you don't have to short circuit the 12 ohm resistor
You plzzz upload the answer you have got with explanation
It actually came as question in my exam so i don't know the method how to solve

The ans is 4 A

This question is a tricky one as the ammeter is NOT ideal. Generally, it is mentioned in the question but in this one, it is not.

I’m providing the solution assuming you know the Kirchhoff’s laws and other basics of electronics.
