Figs, (a) and (b) refer to the steady flow of a non-viscous liquid. Which of the two figures is incorrect? Why?

Fig (a) is incorrect. 

This is because at a constriction (ie., where the area of cross-section of the tube is smaller), the flow speed is larger due to mass conservation. Consequently, pressure there is smaller according to Bernoulli’s equation. We assume the fluid to be incompressible.
