1. No. Zn being more reactive will displace Cu from CuSO₄ . Thus Cu will be deposited on the vessel.

2. (i) NaH₂ PO₄ 

+1 +(+1 × 2) + x +(-2 × 4) = 0 

1 + 2 + x – 8 = 0 

x – 5 = 0 

x = +5

(ii) NaHSO₄

+1 + 1 + x +(-2 × 4) = 0 

+1 + 1 + x – 8 = 0 

x – 6 = 0 

x = +6
