1. Chromatography is a valuable method for the separations, purification and identification of the constituents of a mixture.

Chromatography is classified into 2 types. 

(a) Adsorption chromatography 

(b) Partition chromatography 

2. Lassigne’s test is used to determine the presence of nitrogen, halogens and sulphur present in the organic compound.
