1. The force acting simple harmonic motion is proportional to the displacement and is always directed towards the center of motion.

Comparing this equation with standard differential equation\(\frac{d^2x}{dt^2}\) + ω2x = 0,

We get ω2 = k/m.

2. A pendulum having period 2 sec is called seconds pendulum.
