In a lottery there are 10 prizes and 25 blanks. What is the probability of getting a prize?

Sample space, n(S) = 35 

Number of events of getting a prize, 

n(E) = 10

∴ P(E) = \(\frac{n(E)}{n(S)}\) = \(\frac{10}{35}\) = \(\frac{2}{7}\)
