The coefficient of variation of two series are 58% and 69% and their standard deviation are 21.2 and 15.6. Calculate their mean.

58 = \(\cfrac{22}{\bar x}\) x 100

\(58 \bar x\) = 21.2 x 100

\(\bar x\) = \(\cfrac{2120}{58}= 36.55\)

Co- efficient of variation of second series

69 = \(\cfrac{15.6}{\bar x}\) x 100

69\(\bar x\) = 1.560

69\(\bar x\) = \(\cfrac{1.560}{69} = 22.60 \)
