Two upper chambers (the atriums ) and two lower chambers( the ventricles) in heart have following valves:

i. Tricuspid valve: This is positioned between the right atrium and the right atrium and right atrium.

ii. Pulmonary valve: Located between the right ventricle and pulmonary artery.

iii. Mitral valve (bicuspid valve): This valve is situated between the left atrium and the left atrium. It’s got just two leaflets.

iv. Aortic valve: Located between the left ventricle and the aorta. The main function of the valves present between the atria and ventricles is to prevent the ‘back flow of blood’ from one chamber of the heart to the other.

• The mitral valve and tricuspid valve, which control blood flow from the atria to the ventricles.

• The aortic valve and pulmonary valve, which control blood flow out of the ventricles.
