Explanation As we know that i = \(\sqrt{-1}\), i2 = -1, i3 = -i , i4 = 1

z = \(\frac{i^{4n+1}-i^{4n-1}}{2}\)

= \(\frac{(i^4)^n(i^1-i^{-1})}{2}\)
