It is quite common in organization that different departments may not agree on all the objectives and are at conflict with each other.

In order to handle conflicts at organizational level, 5 approaches can be used by the CEO of the company.

Accommodation

This approach is used when one group can somehow forfeit their point.

Compromise

This approach is used everyone involved in conflict gains something through negotiations

Avoidance

This case for less important issues in which if a particular decision is not taken than it will keep all the groups under peace as if no body is the winner

Competition

This case is used when you can get some trials and then wait which group has the best solution. But competition should be in a positive sense

Collaboration

This is the most effective but difficult situation where the leader has to convince the group on a particular decision, keeping in mind they all feel engaged and committed
