Let u be the velocity of projection of both the particles. One particle covers maximum height h .So it's angle of projection must be 90 degree. Hence we can write

0 ^2 = u^2-2gh

h=u^2/2g

The another particle which covers maximum range R must have angle of projection 45 degree. Hence

R=u^2/g

So we get  R=2h as correct option here
