Best answer

Let CP of 17 bottles = Rs.100.

CP of 17 bottles = SP of 16 bottles = Rs.100

SP of 17 bottles = \(\frac{100}{16}\times17\)

= Rs.106.25

Gain = SP – CP

= 106.25 – 100

= 6.25

\(Gain\%=\frac{Gain\times100}{CP}\)

\(=\frac{6.25\times100}{100}\)

= 6.25%
