Find p(0), p(1) and p(2) for each of the following polynomials:

(i) p(x) = x3 

(ii) p(x) = (x − 1) (x + 1)

(i) p(x) = x3 p(0) = (0)3 = 0

p(1) = (1)3 = 1

p(2) = (2)3 = 8

(iv) p(x) = (x − 1) (x + 1)

p(0) = (0 − 1) (0 + 1) = (− 1) (1) = − 1

p(1) = (1 − 1) (1 + 1) = 0 (2) = 0

p(2) = (2 − 1 ) (2 + 1) = 1(3) = 3
