In a milk solution, water and milk are in the ratio of 2:15 . If the quantity of pure milk is 6L , then find the quantity of water in the solution.

Let the quantity of water be x L
` 2: 15 :: 6 Rightarrow 2xx 6 = 15 xx x Rightarrow 12 = 15x`
`x=12/15 = 4/5 = 0.8 L = 800 mL
the quantity of water in the solution = 800 mL.
