Given, M.P.=₹ 50
d%`=(1)/(2)S.P.`
Let S.P. of the article be ₹ x
S.P.`=(M.P.(100-d))/(100)`
`implies x=(50(100-(x)/(2)))/(100)`
`implies x=(200-x)/(4)implies4x=200-x`
`implies 5x=200 implies x=₹ 40`
`:. S.P. =₹ 40`
