Best answer

Correct option is (b) 7x - 1 = 50

We have, x = 7

On multiplying both the sides by 7, we get

7×x=7×7

7x = 49

On adding (-1) both the sides, we get

7x + (-1) = 49 + (-1)

7x - 1= 49 - 1

7x - 1 = 48
