Here, we have to find the curved surface area of a cylindrical pillar.
Curved Surface area of the cylinder, `A = 2pirh = pidh`
Here, `d = 50cm = 1/2m`
`h = 3.5m`
So, `A = 22/7**1/2**3.5 = 5.5m^2`
Cost of painting the curved surface area per `m^2 =12.50`
So, required cost `=12.50**5.50 = 68.75 `
So, required cost will be `Rs``68.75`.
