Best answer
Given ` x : y = 3 : 4 and y : z = 6 : 11`.
In both the ratios y is common. Try to make the value of y equal in both the ratios.
Multiply each term of the ratio ` 6 : 11" by " 2/3 ` to make its first term (y) equal to 4.
` rArr y : z = 6 xx 2/3 : 11 xx 2/3 = 4 : 22/3`
` :. x : y : z = 3 : 4 22/3 = 9 : 12 : 22` .
